ANNEX 3 - LICENSING OBJECTIVES
GENERAL LICENSING OBJECTIVES
Regular staff training on all aspects of the Licensing Laws/Act (group and one-to-one)
All key staff hold personal licence qualification. Policy - no happy hours or drinking games.
THE PREVENTION OF CRIME AND DISORDER OBJECTIVES
Good relationship with licensing officer, two way communication. Effective and responsible management of premises, training and supervision of staff. Member of BEDA (British Entertainment and Dance Association). We adhere to the 'safer clubbing' policy set out by the Home Office. S.I.A. registered door supervisors.
PUBLICE SAFETY OBJECTIVES
Free cold drinking water on request from bars. Snacks available from open to close when serving alcohol. 475 capacity including staff. Searching on entry (managers discretion). Noise limiters set on sound system to prevent over-ride. Yearly tests, electrical, fire appliance, fire alarm and emergency lights in house monthlies.
THE PREVENTION OF PUBLIC NUISANCE OBJECTIVES
Taxi contact list in foyer. Staff security training on noise for neighbours. Effective and responsible management of premises. Management of customers arriving and leaving the premises.
THE PROTECTION OF CHILDREN FROM HARM OBJECTIVES
I.D checked on all those who appear under 21 (photo driving licence or passport) on entry to the premises. Staff are trained to check again at the bar if necessary. Refuse admission if in doubt. Registered security industry authority door supervisors.
