ANNEX 3 - LICENSING OBJECTIVES
General licensing objectives
There will always be an adequate amount of trained staff available for events. Food will be served all day to coincide with drinking periods. Children and the public will be protected from harm where possible. All possible precautions taken to provide a safe environment for everybody to enjoy.
Prevention of crime and disorder objectives
Over 18 drinking only. Zero tolerance of drug using or taking on/off the premises. Adequate signs displaying zero tolerance of underage drinking/drug use. If anyone suspected over an acceptable drinking limit, alcohol will not be served to them.
Public safety objectives
Notices will be displayed along the main road and surrounding area (when large events occur) of slow moving traffic and car park entrance. Will hold a zero tolerance underage drinking policy. Anyone suspected under 21 will be asked for ID if they wish to consume alcohol.
Local reputed taxi companies advertised within the cafe.
Prevention of public nuisance objectives
The cafe is situated within 13 acres of unhabited land. The two residencies close by would be given at least a month’s prior notice of up coming events. Signs asking clientele to leave quietly.
Bar staff will stop serving alcohol to anyone believed drunk or disorderly. Police will be informed for any unacceptable behaviour that could harm themselves or others.
Protection of children from harm objectives
Children under 16 will be accompanied by an adult. Zero tolerance under age drinking policy.
Adequate signs to warn parents of hidden dangers within cafe site (for example slippery surfaces, car parking area).
