ANNEX 3 - LICENSING OBJECTIVES
General Licensing Objectives
Staff will be trained on the requirements of the Licensing Act 2003 when they are recruited and given training in "drugs awareness" as part of their induction.
Prevention of Crime and Disorder Objectives
Providing a 60 minute extension of opening hours after the end of the sale of alcohol, with continued sale of refreshments will promote gradual and orderly dispersal of customers.
A personal licence holder or responsible person will be present on the premises whenever they are trading after 00.00.
The Designated Premises Supervisor will be a member of the British Institute of Innkeepers.
Public Safety Objectives
Function bookings will be limited to 80 persons indoors.
Prevention of Public Nuisance Objectives
Live music will end at 23.00 except on New Years Eve and New Years Day. Live or recorded music in the garden will end at or before 22.00. Recorded music indoors will end at 01.00 except on New Years Eve and New Years Day. Recorded music volume will be reduced to background level during the wind down period to create a mood change. A notice will be placed prominently at the exits asking customers to leave quietly. Kitchen extract filters will be cleaned regularly to minimise the impact of cooking smells on neighbours.
Protection of Children from Harm
Photographic proof of age will be required to be shown by anyone seeking to purchase alcohol who appears to be under 21 years of age. AWP machines will be sited in areas that are visible to staff to ensure that children do not have access to them.
