Additional Conditions

• ANNEX 1 - MANDATORY CONDITIONS

   

  1. No supply of alcohol may be made under the premises licence:

   

  at a time when there is no designated premises supervisor in respect of the premises licence, or

  at a time when the designated premises supervisor does not hold a personal licence or his personal licence is suspended.

   

  2. Every supply of alcohol under the premises licence must be made or authorised by a person who holds a personal licence. (Section 19, Licensing Act 2003)

   

  3. Where this licence authorises the exhibition of films the admission of children must be restricted in accordance with the British Board of Film Classification.

   

  4.  Where this licence includes a condition that at specified times one or more individuals must be at the premises to carry out a security activity, these individuals must be licensed by the Security Authority (Section 21, Licensing Act 2003).

  EMBEDDED PROVISIONS

   

  It is a condition of your licence that you comply with the existing provisions of the following enactments:

   

  Children & Young Persons Act 1933

  Cinematograph (Safety) Regulations 1955

  Licensing Act 1964

  Sporting Events (Control of Alcohol etc) Act 1985

   

  DRINKING UP TIME

   

  The restrictions on the sale or supply of alcohol do not prohibit during the first twenty minutes after the permitted hours the consumption of alcohol on the premises.

   

  PREMISES OPENING HOURS

   

  The premises opening hours detailed in this licence are at the discretion of the licence holder.

  ANNEX 3 - LICENSING OBJECTIVES

   

  GENERAL LICENSING OBJECTIVES

   

  Buriton Village Hall Management Committee will continue to monitor the use of the Hall and will review the situation with regards to the four licensing objectives on a regular basis.

   

  THE PREVENTION OF CRIME AND DISORDER OBJECTIVES

   

  Hirers are made aware of Hall rules and sign a booking form to accept these. Hall Committee (in person of Designated Premises Supervisor) has sanction to refuse a booking.

   

  PUBLIC SAFETY OBJECTIVES

   

  All relevant Fire and Safety legislation is complied with. Regular inspections are carried out.

   

  THE PREVENTION OF PUBLIC NUISANCE OBJECTIVES

   

  The vast majority of Hall bookings pose no nuisance threat. Occasionally, a party may be booked - these are reviewed and additional supervision may be required, or the booking refused.

   

  THE PROTECTION OF CHILDREN FROM HARM OBJECTIVES

   

  Proper supervision is required from all hirers at events involving children. There is no 'bar' as such - where alcohol is being served, a separate area is designated for soft drinks if children are present. Children are excluded from events with a more risqué/adult theme.
