ANNEX 3 - LICENSING OBJECTIVES
GENERAL LICENSING OBJECTIVES
Following an assessment of the premises and its surrounding area the following is proposed:
30 minute "drinking up" time will allow appropriate dispersal, use of lavatories etc
In order to further the licensing objectives the licensee reserves the right to move the fire appliances, AWP machines, cigarette machines and or any other similar objects temporarily in a fixed location which may impact on the ability of individuals on the premises to use exits or escape routes without impediment.
THE PREVENTION OF CRIME AND DISORDER OBJECTIVES
The prevention of crime and disorder is a high priority, the garden, and toilet areas are regularly checked. The exterior of the building has good lighting, which includes the car park and garden. The existing licence holder also ensures that customers are asked for identification and age in the appropriate circumstances, and customers entering and leaving are also monitored.
PUBLIC SAFETY OBJECTIVES
The existing licence holder puts a high priority with regard to public safety. All the relevant health and safety and health and hygiene certificates are kept constantly up to date. In addition it is ensured that all fire fighting equipment is regularly serviced and readily available in case of emergencies. There is a designated non smoking area which is 50% of the licensed area, and a disability discrimination audit has also been completed and is regularly reviewed.
THE PREVENTION OF PUBLIC NUISANCE OBJECTIVES
Due to the location of the premises and the fabric of the building, this has not been an issue. However the existing licence holder is very aware of this and ensures that all windows and doors are closed after 2100. In addition due to the provision of letting rooms all events outdoors are monitored to ensure that noise is kept to a minimum, so as not to disturb any guests. All extraction equipment is switched off by 2130 hours.
THE PROTECTION OF CHILDREN FROM HARM OBJECTIVES
Children are only allowed in the premises if they are accompanied by an adult. In addition they are requested to sit in an area that is away from the bar and AWP machine.
