ANNEX 3 - LICENSING OBJECTIVES
GENERAL LICENSING OBJECTIVES
Following an assessment of the premises and its surrounding area the following is proposed:
30 minute "drinking up" time will allow appropriate dispersal, use of lavatories etc.
In order to further the licensing objectives the licensee reserves the right to move the fire appliances, AWP machines, cigarette machines, and or any other similar objects temporarily in a fixed location which may impact on the ability of individuals on the premises to use exits or escape routes without impediment.
THE PREVENTION OF CRIME AND DISORDER OBJECTIVES
The exterior of the premises is well lit and is regularly inspected.
Regular inspections of the toilets are undertaken during all sessions.
Regular inspections of the outside drinking area and the car park are undertaken during all sessions.
Glasses and bottles are regularly collected both inside and outside the premises.
Local police station number is kept behind the bar at all times.
All staff have been trained on our drugs awareness policy and alcohol sales regarding underage and intoxicated persons.
Most of our customers are local and known to the staff.
Some of our customers visit us for food and therefore drink in moderation.
We will continue to adhere to our policy that no glasses or open bottles are permitted to be taken from the premises.
We will continue to stock a large range of non-alcoholic alternatives for drivers and other customers.
We will continue to offer to call taxis for customers who request one prior to leaving the premises.
PUBLIC SAFETY OBJECTIVES
Currently 4 members of staff are holders of a basic food hygiene qualification.
I will continue to keep first aid boxes on the premises. They are located in the kitchen and are regularly checked and refilled when necessary. I will continue to maintain the appropriate fire fighting equipment on the premises.
We will continue to complete PAT tests and gas appliance tests as appropriate.
I will continue to ensure that the exterior of the pub is well lit and regularly inspected at all times; maintain an accident book at the premises; ensure that the emergency lighting installation and electrical installation is maintained at appropriate intervals; carry out risk assessments where appropriate; ensure that all cellar gas bottles are handled and kept appropriately. All staff have been trained on our drugs awareness policy and alcohol sales regarding underage and intoxicated persons. We will continue to adhere to our policy that no glasses or open bottles are permitted to be taken from the premises. We will continue to stock a large range of non-alcoholic alternatives for drivers and other customers.

We will continue to request that customers leave the premises quietly at all times.
We will continue to ensure that customers in the outside drinking areas are regularly reminded about noise pollution.

We will continue to adhere to our policy that no glasses or open bottles are permitted to be taken from the premises.
We will continue to stock a large range of non alcoholic alternatives for drivers and other customers.
Glasses and bottles are regularly collected both inside and outside the premises.
The fabric of the building retains noise particularly well. Its layout is also beneficial when considering noise pollution.
Drivers are quickly away from residential properties as the pub lies close to the main road through the area.
We will continue to offer to call taxis for customers who request one prior to leaving the premises.
There are no directly adjoining residential properties to the premises.
THE PROTECTION OF CHILDREN FROM HARM OBJECTIVES
No children at any time in the bar area.
No unaccompanied children in the dining area at any time.
The cigarette machine is sited so as to be visible from the bar servery and staff are trained as to its restrictions.
Cigars are only sold from the bar and staff are trained on the restrictions regarding their sale.
All staff are trained in legislation regarding the sale of alcohol to children and are required to ask for relevant ID if unsure about a customer’s age.
