• ANNEX 1 - MANDATORY CONDITIONS

   

  1. No supply of alcohol may be made under the premises licence:

   

  at a time when there is no designated premises supervisor in respect of the premises licence, or

  at a time when the designated premises supervisor does not hold a personal licence or his personal licence is suspended.

   

  2. Every supply of alcohol under the premises licence must be made or authorised by a person who holds a personal licence. (Section 19, Licensing Act 2003)

   

  3. Where this licence authorises the exhibition of films the admission of children must be restricted in accordance with the British Board of Film Classification.

   

  4.  Where this licence includes a condition that at specified times one or more individuals must be at the premises to carry out a security activity, these individuals must be licensed by the Security Authority (Section 21, Licensing Act 2003).

  EMBEDDED PROVISIONS

   

  It is a condition of your licence that you comply with the existing provisions of the following enactments:

   

  Sporting Events (Control of Alcohol etc) Act 1985

  ANNEX 3 - LICENSING OBJECTIVES

   

  General Licensing Objectives

  The risks associated with the variations sought have been considered and no further steps are felt necessary to promote the licensing objectives save as detailed below.

  30 minute 'drinking up' time will allow appropriate dispersal, use of lavatories etc.

  In order to further the licensing objectives the licensee reserves the right to move the fire appliances, AWP machines, cigarette machines and or any other similar objects temporarily in a fixed location which may impact on the ability of individuals on the premises to use exits or escape routes without impediment.

   

  Prevention of Crime and Disorder Objectives

  Illumination is provided to the exterior areas of the pub, accessible to the public.

  The licensees are members of Pub Watch and regularly attend meetings.

  Majority of customers are local people and are well known to the licensees. This will vary in the summer with tourism.

  All interior trading areas are visible to staff from behind the bar servery.

  Burglar alarm system in place, alarmed doors and windows/secure windows.

  Drug prevention measures are employed, and signs displayed.

  The toilets are checked regularly.

  The licensee and staff will monitor customer behaviour.

  A wide selection of soft drinks are always available for purchase by those who are driving.

  The Designated Premises Supervisor will liaise with and take advice from local crime prevention officers should it be felt necessary.

   

  Public Safety Objectives

  A quarterly risk assessment carried out. All fire fighting equipment is serviced annually. All portable electrical appliances are tested annually. There are current electric and gas certificates in place. A pest control contract is in place. The pub promotes customers to use taxis for making onward journeys.

   

  Prevention of Public Nuisance Objectives

  Staff will be trained to remind customers to leave quietly at the end of the evening.

  ANNEX 4 - CONDITIONS ATTACHED AFTER A HEARING BY THE LOCAL AUTHORITY

   

  1. At all times during internal regulated entertainment, all windows and doors of the premises shall remain closed except for access and egress.

   

  2. As offered by the applicant, drinking up time will not exceed 30 minutes following on from the end of the supply of alcohol.

   

  3. During the 30 minute drinking-up period, the lights inside the premises will be turned up and the background music volume level will be lowered.

   

  4. The Designated Premises Supervisor or his delegate shall be a member of a local Pub Watch group and attend meetings thereof whenever possible.

   

  5. Notices shall be placed in appropriate positions inside the premises reminding patrons to leave the premises quietly and respectfully.

   

  6. As of two months from 25th November 2005 there shall be SIA (Security Industry Approved) door staff at the door of the premises from 2200 hours until one hour after the cessation of the supply of alcohol or until the premises is completely closed to the public, whichever is the earlier, on Fridays and Saturdays.

• ANNEX 5 - CONDITIONS BY THE POLICE

   

  A CCTV camera will be installed for the outside seating area and a monitor located behind the bar so that staff can oversee the area from inside at all times. The staff will also go out periodically to make sure all premises rules are being adhered to.

   

   

• ANNEX 6 - CONDITIONS BY ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH

   

  To allow alcohol to be consumed in the outside seating area until 22:00 hours.

   

• ANNEX 7 - CONDITIONS ATTACHED AFTER HEARING ON 19TH DECEMBER 2008

   

  1. A minimum of two Security Industry Authority (SIA) trained and registered door staff are to be active at the premises during late night music event  nights on Fridays and Saturdays.

   

  2. A CCTV system which is of a standard acceptable to the Police and the Licensing Authority should be installed and working before the extended hours permitted by these variations take effect. It should provide good quality evidential recordings to a format (hard drive) which can be viewed on Police and Local Authority equipment with enhancement. This shall be maintained in good working order and the images in a viewable format and kept for 31 days. Images shall be downloadable from a hard drive. Any incidents to be downloaded and kept for the Police if required. The CCTV shall cover the entry and exit points of the building and various areas of the premises (as agreed with the Police) and the outside area including the car park.

   

  3. Arrangements shall be made with local taxi firms to have local taxis available to take persons away from the premises after music nights.

   

  4. No late night refreshment vehicles shall be allowed to operate from the Premises. or in its car park without the written consent of the Licensing Authority.
