ANNEX 2 - LICENSING OBJECTIVES
General Licensing Objectives
Club management, steward and bar staff are informed of the licensing act 2003 objectives and statutory requirement to comply with all relevant provisions of the act.
Prevention of Crime and Disorder Objectives
Club rules govern the conduct of members and their guests within and adjacent to the club premises. Admission to the club is restricted to members and bona fide guests and is controlled through an electronic door entry system.
Members or guests who behave in a drunk or disorderly fashion will not be served alcohol.
Misconduct is reported to the committee to consider disciplinary action under the clubs disciplinary code.
Public Safety Objectives
The club complies with Health & Safety & Fire Regulations and advised capacity limits.
Following risk assessment, preventative and control measures are in place to ensure the safety of members, guests, employees and entertainers while on the premises.
A Fire Alarm system is in operation with smoke detectors, break glass alarm points at exits and a highly audible alarm. Fire action notices are posted with emergency escape routes signposted and provided with emergency lighting.
Prevention of Public Nuisance Objectives
Signage is displayed requesting members and guests to respect the needs of local residents by quietly leaving the premises and car park.
When live or recorded music is played all reasonable steps are taken to avoid disturbance to neighbouring properties.
Protection of Children from Harm Objectives
Signage is posted at the bar prohibiting the direct or indirect supply of alcohol to children.
All bar staff are instructed to comply with the provisions of the licensing act 2003 relating to alcohol and the protection of children.
