ANNEX 3 - Licensing Objectives
General Licensing Objectives
Following an assessment of the premises and its surrounding area the following is proposed:
30 minute "drinking up" time will allow appropriate dispersal, use of lavatories etc
In order to further the licensing objectives the licensee reserves the right to move the fire appliances, AWP machines, cigarette machines and or any other similar objects temporarily in a fixed location which may impact on the ability of individuals on the premises to use exits or escape routes without impediment.
Prevention of Crime and disorder objectives
The existing licence holder is very aware of this, although there is no Pub Watch in the area he speaks regularly to the local beat officer to update on any issues.
There haven’t been any issues, the exterior has very good lighting which illuminates all Ares around the pub including the garden and car park. The customers are local and therefore know each other.
Public Safety objectives
Due to the current Public Entertainment Licence that is in operation all relevant certificates are current, these include fire, electric and gas certificates. Above each of the exits are illuminated signs in case of power failure, so that customers can leave the building safely. There are a number of fire extinguishers that can be readily used, all exits are kept unlocked during the hours the building is open to the public.
Prevention of Public Nuisance objectives
The existing licence holder puts a high priority on public nuisance, it is ensured that all windows and doors are closed by 20:00 In addition all kitchen extraction equipment is turned off by 21:30, it is policy to make sure that all customers leave quietly and in orderly fashion, and do not linger outside the building at closing time.
The car park and garden areas are also checked to make sure all customers lave quietly.
Protection of children from harm objectives
If children are allowed in the premises they must be accompanied by an adult, they must stay in an area away from the bar which is non smoking and has no AWP machine in it, in addition they must leave by 20.00
Table dancing would start after 21.00 this is after the time children have to leave the premises. In addition there would be strict control over who would be allowed in, they would be ticket only admission and restricted to a specific area of the premises, which would be away rom the bar area.
