• ANNEX 1 - MANDATORY CONDITIONS

   

  1. No supply of alcohol may be made under the premises licence:

   

  at a time when there is no designated premises supervisor in respect of the premises licence, or

  at a time when the designated premises supervisor does not hold a personal licence or his personal licence is suspended.

   

  2. Every supply of alcohol under the premises licence must be made or authorised by a person who holds a personal licence. (Section 19, Licensing Act 2003)

   

  3. Where this licence authorises the exhibition of films the admission of children must be restricted in accordance with the British Board of Film Classification.

   

  4.  Where this licence includes a condition that at specified times one or more individuals must be at the premises to carry out a security activity, these individuals must be licensed by the Security Authority (Section 21, Licensing Act 2003).

  EMBEDDED PROVISIONS

   

  It is a condition of your licence that you comply with the existing provisions of the following enactments:

   

  Children & Young Persons Act 1933

  Cinematograph (Safety) Regulations 1955

  Licensing Act 1964

  Sporting Events (Control of Alcohol etc) Act 1985

   

  DRINKING UP TIME

   

  The restrictions on the sale or supply of alcohol do not prohibit during the first twenty minutes after the permitted hours the consumption of alcohol on the premises.

   

  PREMISES OPENING HOURS

   

  The premises opening hours detailed in this licence are at the discretion of the licence holder.

• ANNEX 3 - LICENSING OBJECTIVES

   

  GENERAL OBJECTIVES

   

  Awareness of the community of the village in which the pub is situated. This is a family pub, and the intention is to run it as a family pub for the foreseeable future. The regulated entertainment proposed materially do not more than reinstate the normal pub entertainment that was previously unregulated under the old licensing system. 

   

  THE PREVENTION OF CRIME AND DISORDER OBJECTIVES

   

  Will always be a Designated Premises Supervisor on duty. Close liaison with local Police. All relevant certification, e.g. fire, health and safety etc will be in force and adhered to. Staff receive training on underage sales, drug policies, operating procedures, and health and safety at work. Regular checks by management to prevent use of drugs by patrons whilst on the premises. 

   

  PUBLIC SAFETY OBJECTIVES

   

  Abiding by regulations as to who can or cannot be served alcohol Training given to staff regarding fire exits and use of safety equipment. Fire exits and escapes kept clear and in good order.

   

  THE PREVENTION OF PUBLIC NUISANCE OBJECTIVES

   

  Consideration to neighbours regarding noise. Customers leaving the premises at closing time will be encouraged to leave quietly and respect the interest of occupiers in nearby premises. No noise vibration emanating from the premises shall cause a nuisance to neighbouring properties.

   

   

  THE PROTECTION OF CHILDREN FROM HARM OBJECTIVES

   

  No risks of harm to children have been identified. Children only allowed in designated areas. No children's activities to be organised late in the evening.

   

• ANNEX 4 - CONDITIONS ATTACHED AFTER HEARING

   

  1. In order to reduce the risk of electrocution, all entertainers’ electrical equipment, including main powered microphones will be protected by residual current devices (RCDs) which will be tested each time before use;

   

  2. Live music shall not be played between the times of 23.00hrs and 19.30hrs the following day;

   

  3. All external doors and windows shall be kept closed, other than for access and egress in all rooms when events involving regulated entertainment are taking place.  External doors shall be self closing and fitted with a draught excluder;

   

  4. There shall be no more that six live music events per calendar year;

   

  5. Prominent signs are to be put in place recommending that smokers use the rear of the premises rather than the front;

   

  6. Recorded music shall not be played after 23.00hrs;

   

  7. Live music and recorded music shall be performed and played in the main building only.  For the avoidance of doubt, live music and recorded music shall not be performed or played in the garden or in any temporary structure erected in the garden;

   

  8. Steps shall be taken to endeavour that alcohol shall not be consumed on the High Street at the front of the premises after 11pm.
