• ANNEX 1 - MANDATORY CONDITIONS

   

  1. No supply of alcohol may be made under the premises licence:

   

  at a time when there is no designated premises supervisor in respect of the premises licence, or

  at a time when the designated premises supervisor does not hold a personal licence or his personal licence is suspended.

   

  2. Every supply of alcohol under the premises licence must be made or authorised by a person who holds a personal licence. (Section 19, Licensing Act 2003)

   

  3. Where this licence authorises the exhibition of films the admission of children must be restricted in accordance with the British Board of Film Classification.

   

  4.  Where this licence includes a condition that at specified times one or more individuals must be at the premises to carry out a security activity, these individuals must be licensed by the Security Authority (Section 21, Licensing Act 2003).

  EMBEDDED PROVISIONS

   

  It is a condition of your licence that you comply with the existing provisions of the following enactments:

   

  Children & Young Persons Act 1933

  Cinematograph (Safety) Regulations 1955

  Licensing Act 1964

  Sporting Events (Control of Alcohol etc) Act 1985

   

  DRINKING UP TIME

   

  The restrictions on the sale or supply of alcohol do not prohibit during the first twenty minutes after the permitted hours the consumption of alcohol on the premises.

   

  PREMISES OPENING HOURS

   

  The premises opening hours detailed in this licence are at the discretion of the licence holder.

  ANNEX 3 - LICENSING OBJECTIVES

   

  GENERAL LICENSING OBJECTIVES

   

  Following an assessment of the premises and its surrounding area the following is proposed:

  30 minute "drinking up" time will allow appropriate dispersal, use of lavatories etc

  In order to further the licensing objectives the licensee reserves the right to move the fire appliances, AWP machines, cigarette machines and or any other similar objects temporarily in a fixed location which may impact on the ability of individuals on the premises to use exits or escape routes without impediment.

   

  THE PREVENTION OF CRIME AND DISORDER OBJECTIVES

   

  The car park and garden area are fully lit and frequently checked by bar staff.

  90% of customers are local and known by staff. The licensees are members of Pub Watch.

   

  PUBLIC SAFETY OBJECTIVES

   

  All kitchen staff have health and hygiene certification.

  The pub has risk assessments and accident book on the premises.

  All staff receive COSHH training.

  The pub has fire fighting equipment throughout which is contract serviced.

  The building has a fire alarm.

   

  PREVENTION OF PUBLIC NUISANCE OBJECTIVES

  The pub is detached and there is no adjoining residential property. Kitchen extract is turned off before 21:00.

  The pub will put up signs requesting customers to respect local residents on departure. Because the pub relies on an income from its letting rooms noise is always kept to a minimum after 21:00.

   

  THE PROTECTION OF CHILDREN FROM HARM OBJECTIVES

   

  The pub currently has permission for 2 AWP machines but only has one on site. This is in full view of the bar for easy policing by staff. The cigarette machine is also in full view of the bar. The pub allows under 14s in the dining area away from the bar if accompanied by an adult if consuming a meal. 14 to 18 year olds are allowed in the pub before 2000 and only if accompanied by an adult. The dining area is non smoking.

  The pub staff are all trained in refusal to serve process and the pub now has a refusal to serve book that logs each incident.

  There is no restricted film viewing, nudity or striptease in the pub at any time.

  Conditions attached by Environmental Protection

   

  1. Live music events will terminate at 23:00.

  2. Noise shall be inaudiable beyond the site boundary sfter 22:00.

  3. Doors and windows will be closed except for access to and egress from the premises when live or amplified music is taking place.

   

  Conditions attached by Health and Safety

   

  In order to reduce the risk of electrocution, all entertainers, electrical equipment, including mains powered microphones, will be protected by residual current devices (RCDs) which will be tested each time before use.
