ANNEX 3 - LICENSING OBJECTIVES
GENERAL OBJECTIVES
Strong management controls and effective training ensuring that the 4 key licensing objectives are always enforced.
THE PREVENTION OF CRIME AND DISORDER OBJECTIVES
Responsible management of the premises at all times. Training and supervision of all staff. Adopting best practice guidance - Portman Group and other voluntary codes of practice. Member of pub watch. Installed security alarm etc.
PUBLIC SAFETY OBJECTIVES
Risk management assessment checked daily and effective and responsible management at all times. Training and supervision of all staff, adoption of best practices. Regular testing and certification of all procedures, systems and appliances pertinent to safety.
THE PREVENTION OF PUBLIC NUISANCE OBJECTIVES
Responsible management at all times. Regular visits to all areas of the premises. Management of customers, staff and deliveries arriving and leaving the premises. External lighting installed and taxi pick up point by local company. Effective ventilation systems and management of litter. Due diligence log to be completed when regulated entertainment occurs. Outdoor live entertainment will take place on no more than 6 occasions per annum. Outdoor recorded entertainment will take place on no more than 6 occasions per annum. Outdoor facilities for dancing will take place on no more than 6 occasions per annum.
THE PROTECTION OF CHILDREN FROM HARM OBJECTIVES
Provision of sufficient staff to secure the protection of children from harm with appropriate training. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Proof of age scheme with photo ID only.
CONDITIONS BY HEALTH & SAFETY
In order to reduce the risk of electrocution, all entertainers' electrical equipment, including mains powered microphones, will be protected by residual current devices (RCDs) which will be tested each time before use.
CONDITIONS BY ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
1. Regulated entertainment shall not be played outdoors between the times of 22:00 hours and 12:00 hours on any day, except for one occasion per calendar year where regulated entertainment shall not be played outdoors between the times of 23:00 hours and 12:00 hours.
2. Karaoke shall not take place outdoors at any time.
3. All external windows and doors shall be kept closed, except so far as is necessary to allow for access and egress in all rooms, when events involving regulated entertainment are taking place.
