ANNEX 3 - DECISION OF REVIEW HEARING 16 JANUARY 2009
The Sub-Committee decided to suspend the Premises Licence for a period of seven consecutive days.
1. Illumination will be provided to the exterior areas for use during the hours of darkness and whilst the Licensed Premises is open. The illumination shall be switched off when the Licensed Premises is closed;
2. Drug prevention measures, including a regular check of the toilets will be employed;
3. There will be no irresponsible aggressive drinks promotions (eg two for one offers);
4. When they are open for trade, under 18's will not be allowed in the premises, unless accompanied, and will be barred after 20:30 hours;
5. Staff will be advised that they must request identification from any customer who looks under 21 before they are sold alcohol or admitted entrance to the premises at any time where a no under 18 admission restriction is in force;
6. There will be notices displayed to advise customers of the effect of conditions 4 and 5;
7. The DPS will undertake a BIIAB course for a National Certificate for Personal Licence Holders. Mrs Wynne will undertake a BIIAB course in Responsible Alcohol Retailing;
8. Bar staff will receive age-related sales and general training in their responsibilities under the Licensing Act 2003, which will be refreshed at least annually. Such training will be documented and the records produced on request to an authorised officer;
9. The off sales capability of alcohol be removed from the Premises Licence, except for the supply of alcohol in open containers for consumption in the external area provided for that purpose; and
10. The site will actively participate in the Longmoor Pubwatch scheme and will abide by its protocols.
