The licensee and staff monitor customer behaviour especially during busy periods. All doors and windows are secure. There are always a minimum of two staff on the premises at any one time. Drug prevention measures are employed. A large selection of non-alcoholic drinks are available for drivers.

Being a detached property there are no adjoining neighbours. The pub does not have any aggressive drinks promotions, e.g. 2-4-1s. The pub is traditional in nature and most of the customers are locals who live within walking distance of the pub.
