ANNEX 3 - LICENSING OBJECTIVES
GENERAL LICENSING OBJECTIVES
We are aware of our responsibilities concerning all four of the licensing objectives further outlined below.
As responsible licensees we are conscious of the effect that noise pollution and irresponsible behaviour would have on our local neighbours. We endeavour to ensure that noise emanating from these premises does not disturb our neighbours. Windows and doors are usually kept closed. Patrons leaving the premises late at night are asked to respect our neighbours. There are no refuse collections before 0800. Disposal of daily refuse is never done late at night. There will be no pyrotechnic displays at any time.
THE PREVENTION OF CRIME AND DISORDER OBJECTIVES
We are hands on licensees who like to think that we run a well run premises. There has been no trouble in the past and we hope that this status quo will continue.
PUBLIC SAFETY OBJECTIVES
We have a Health and Safety policy which we adhere to and have regular risk assessments to ensure the safety of our staff and patrons. The fire equipment is supplied and serviced on a contract basis by Chubb ltd. The emergency lighting and smoke alarms are regularly checked and results are recorded.
THE PREVENTION OF PUBLIC NUISANCE OBJECTIVES
The Red Lion is a quiet village public house and we continually take steps to ensure that there is no noise emanating from the premises. There has never been a complaint from anybody about noise and we intend to ensure that that happy state continues.
THE PROTECTION OF CHILDREN FROM HARM OBJECTIVES
Children are not permitted in the bar and only in the restaurant accompanied by an adult. We have an extensive play area and garden. They must be accompanied by an adult when using these facilities. We undertake regular maintenance and risk assessment of the children’s play equipment.
