ANNEX 1 - MANDATORY CONDITIONS

1. No supply of alcohol may be made under the premises licence:

at a time when there is no designated premises supervisor in respect of the premises licence, or
at a time when the designated premises supervisor does not hold a personal licence or his personal licence is suspended.

2. Every supply of alcohol under the premises licence must be made or authorised by a person who holds a personal licence. (Section 19, Licensing Act 2003)

3. Where this licence authorises the exhibition of films the admission of children must be restricted in accordance with the British Board of Film Classification.

4. Where this licence includes a condition that at specified times one or more individuals must be at the premises to carry out a security activity, these individuals must be licensed by the Security Authority (Section 21, Licensing Act 2003).

EMBEDDED PROVISIONS

It is a condition of your licence that you comply with the existing provisions of the following enactments:

DRINKING UP TIME

The restrictions on the sale or supply of alcohol do not prohibit during the first twenty minutes after the permitted hours the consumption of alcohol on the premises.

PREMISES OPENING HOURS

The premises opening hours detailed in this licence are at the discretion of the licence holder.

ANNEX 3 - LICENSING OBJECTIVES

GENERAL LICENSING OBJECTIVES

To extend existing standards and procedures so that they are applied over the proposed extended trading period and apply all licensable activities requested. This will enable the premises to continue to operate as premises providing a location for customers to socialise as well as purchase alcohol and food and be entertained. Maintenance of existing standards will enable the premises to operate lawfully, peacefully, safely and without harm to children.

THE PREVENTION OF CRIME AND DISORDER OBJECTIVES

To continue with the responsible management of the premises in such a way that all patrons are aware that crime and disorder of any nature will not be tolerated. To ensure that all staff are trained so as to maintain high standards of operation.

PUBLIC SAFETY OBJECTIVES

To continue to maintain the premises and operate them in a manner so that public safety is not put at risk. To comply with all relevant legislation relating to public safety. All external doors and windows will be kept shut after 2300 hours other than for access and egress in all rooms when events involving amplified music or speech are taking place.

THE PREVENTION OF PUBLIC NUISANCE OBJECTIVES

To continue to ensure that sound from within the premises is maintained at a level that does not cause a public nuisance and to continue to ensure that customers are aware of the need to respect the amenity of others when leaving the premises irrespective of the hour of the day or night. To place notices at entrances/exits requesting customers to leave quietly and have regard to any neighbours. To reduce level of music volume towards closing time.

THE PROTECTION OF CHILDREN FROM HARM OBJECTIVES

To ensure that children under 16 are only admitted to the premises if accompanied by persons 18 years or over. To operate a proof of age scheme requiring photographic ID. To provide training so that all staff are aware of the requirements of the Licensing Act 2003 so far as persons under 18 and persons under 16 are concerned.
