ANNEX 3 - LICENSING OBJECTIVES
GENERAL LICENSING OBJECTIVES
Following an assessment of the premises and its surrounding area the following is proposed:
30 minute "drinking up" time will allow appropriate dispersal, use of lavatories etc
In order to further the licensing objectives the licensee reserves the right to move the fire appliances, AWP machines, cigarette machines and or any other similar objects temporarily in a fixed location which may impact on the ability of individuals on the premises to use exits or escape routes without impediment.
THE PREVENTION OF CRIME AND DISORDER OBJECTIVES
The existing licence holder puts high priority in this area, this is done by monitoring customers as they arrive and leave to ensure that they behave in an appropriate way. In addition the area directly around the pub has good lighting, together with the garden area, to prevent crime and disorder.
PUBLIC SAFETY OBJECTIVES
The existing licence holder has ensured that there is sufficient fire fighting equipment available. There is more than one exit from the building which are kept unlocked during licensing hours and as the property has an existing Public Entertainment Certificate in place all the relevant gas and electrical certificates are current, in addition all exits have emergency lights above them to help exit the building safely.
THE PREVENTION OF PUBLIC NUISANCE OBJECTIVES
The main area of the pub is only entered via double entrance doors, which reduce noise levels. In addition due to the location of the building with the nearest property about 50 metres away and with the main roads on two sides of the property noise has not been an issue. However doors and windows are closed after 9pm. Customers are requested to leave quietly and this is monitored by the existing licence holder.
THE PROTECTION OF CHILDREN FROM HARM OBJECTIVES
Children are only allowed in the premises if accompanied by an adult. In addition they must stay in an area which is away from the bar. This area is non smoking and has no AWP machines or pool table within it.
