Additional Conditions

ANNEX 1 - MANDATORY CONDITIONS

1. No supply of alcohol may be made under the premises licence:

at a time when there is no designated premises supervisor in respect of the premises licence, or
at a time when the designated premises supervisor does not hold a personal licence or his personal licence is suspended.

2. Every supply of alcohol under the premises licence must be made or authorised by a person who holds a personal licence. (Section 19, Licensing Act 2003)

3. Where this licence authorises the exhibition of films the admission of children must be restricted in accordance with the British Board of Film Classification.

4. Where this licence includes a condition that at specified times one or more individuals must be at the premises to carry out a security activity, these individuals must be licensed by the Security Authority (Section 21, Licensing Act 2003).

EMBEDDED PROVISIONS

It is a condition of your licence that you comply with the existing provisions of the following enactments:

Sporting Events (Control of Alcohol etc) Act 1985

PREMISES OPENING HOURS

The premises opening hours detailed in this licence are at the discretion of the licence holder.

Enclosed separately are conditions relating to the Standard Conditions that were attached to one or more of the following licences held under the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982, Cinemas Act 1985, Theatres Act 1968;

Not more than 120 persons in the Main Hall and 60 persons in the Small Hall shall be permitted to be on the premises at any one time.

ANNEX 3 - LICENSING OBJECTIVES

General Licensing Objectives

The neighbourhood is not prone to public problems. We keep a close monitor on who uses the centre and listen to comments from adjacent properties. If we find any activities are likely to cause problems then we will stop doing them.

Prevention of Crime and Disorder Objectives

All hirers are bound by a hiring agreement. They are required to specify the purpose for hiring. The church reserves the right to refuse to hire out the centre if the purpose is deemed unsuitable.

Public Safety Objectives

The premises have been inspected by the fire department and by EHDC for the original PEL. All hirers sign a Health and Safety form. A Health and Safety inspection has been carried out in conformance with Diocesan guidelines.

Prevention Of Public Nuisance Objectives

The hiring agreement requires a code of conduct of those using the centre.

Protection of Children from Harm

The centre is used for church children’s work (Sunday school, Young Church etc). All work is regulated by diocesan guidelines.
