Additional Conditions

ANNEX 1 - MANDATORY CONDITIONS

1. No supply of alcohol may be made under the premises licence:

at a time when there is no designated premises supervisor in respect of the premises licence, or
at a time when the designated premises supervisor does not hold a personal licence or his personal licence is suspended.

2. Every supply of alcohol under the premises licence must be made or authorised by a person who holds a personal licence. (Section 19, Licensing Act 2003)

3. Where this licence authorises the exhibition of films the admission of children must be restricted in accordance with the British Board of Film Classification.

4. Where this licence includes a condition that at specified times one or more individuals must be at the premises to carry out a security activity, these individuals must be licensed by the Security Authority (Section 21, Licensing Act 2003).

ANNEX 2 - LICENSING OBJECTIVES

General Licensing Objectives
The plans which accompany this application indicates the proposed position for the display and storage of alcohol.
The alcohol may be displayed or stored, from time to time, in different positions within the premises.

Prevention of Crime and Disorder Objectives
A CCTV system will be installed, or the existing maintained, such system to be fit for the purpose.
The system will incorporate a camera covering each of the entrance doors and the alcohol display areas and will be capable of providing an image which is regarded as
identification standard. The precise positions of the cameras may be agreed, subject to compliance with Data Protection legislation, with the police from time to time.
The system will incorporate a recording facility and any recording shall be retained and stored in a suitable and secure manner for a minimum of 31 days and shall be made available, subject to compliance with Data Protection legislation, to the police for inspection on request. If the premises are using a video recording system, the cassette tape shall be used on no more than 12 occasions.
The system will display on any recording the correct time and date of the recording.
A system will be in place to maintain the quality of the recorded image and a complete audit trail maintained.
Notices informing customers of the operation of the system shall be prominently displayed.
The system will be maintained and fully operational throughout the hours that the premises are open for any licensable activity.

Public Safety Objectives
The applicant will at all times maintain adequate levels of staff. Such staff levels will be disclosed, on request, to the licensing authority and police.

Prevention of Public Nuisance Objective
Signage will be displayed at the exit of the premises requesting customers leaving the premises late at night to do so quietly and with consideration so as not to disturb nearby residents.

Protection of Children from Harm
All cashiers will be trained to require evidence of age from any person seeking to buy alcohol and appearing to the cashier to be under the age of 18. This evidence shall be photographic, such as passport or photographic driving licence until other effective identification technology (for example, thumb print or pupil recognition) is introduced.
Prominent notices will be displayed at points of sale advising customers that they may be asked to provide evidence of age.
