• ANNEX 1 - MANDATORY CONDITIONS

   

  1. No supply of alcohol may be made under the premises licence:

   

  at a time when there is no designated premises supervisor in respect of the premises licence, or

  at a time when the designated premises supervisor does not hold a personal licence or his personal licence is suspended.

   

  2. Every supply of alcohol under the premises licence must be made or authorised by a person who holds a personal licence. (Section 19, Licensing Act 2003)

   

  3. Where this licence authorises the exhibition of films the admission of children must be restricted in accordance with the British Board of Film Classification.

   

  4.  Where this licence includes a condition that at specified times one or more individuals must be at the premises to carry out a security activity, these individuals must be licensed by the Security Authority (Section 21, Licensing Act 2003).

  ANNEX 3 - LICENSING OBJECTIVES

   

  GENERAL LICENSING OBJECTIVES

   

  All management and staff are informed of the Licensing Act 2003 objectives and statutory requirement to comply with all relevant provisions of the Act.

   

  THE PREVENTION OF CRIME AND DISORDER OBJECTIVES

   

  Employees are instructed not to serve alcohol to anyone who is behaving in a drunk or disorderly fashion. The establishment is geared towards dining and the owners and management work hard to achieve a calm, relaxing and friendly environment.

  Good exterior lighting is provided.

  Taxi numbers are provided and staff will happily call them for customers. A wide range of alcohol free drinks are stocked and well-marketed for drivers.

   

  PUBLIC SAFETY OBJECTIVES

   

  The pub complies with health and safety and fire precautions regulations. Emergency escape routes are signposted. Emergency lighting is provided. Staff are trained in fire procedures, use of fire extinguishers and location of fire fighting equipment/gas and electric shut off switches where relevant.

   

  THE PREVENTION OF PUBLIC NUISANCE OBJECTIVES

   

  Signage is displayed near exits requesting everyone to respect local residents by quietly leaving the premises and car park. When live or recorded music is played all reasonable steps are taken to avoid disturbance to neighbouring properties and to inform local residents of events, particularly on the rare occasions when played in the garden.

  All external doors and windows will be kept closed after 23.00, other than for access and egress, in all rooms when events involving amplified music or speech are taking place.

  Use of the beer garden will cease by 23.00

   

  THE PROTECTION OF CHILDREN FROM HARM OBJECTIVES

   

  No person under the age of 16 is permitted onto the premises unaccompanied. No alcohol is served to a person under 18. Staff fully trained on what forms of identification is acceptable. Outdoor children’s play area is inspected regularly. Children watched carefully inside and encouraged to sit down at a table when dining. Children not allowed in bars unless dining.

  Children’s garden fully fenced so they cannot run out onto the road or car park unnoticed.

  Range of soft drinks for children stocked and strict observation of who drinks are sold to/for.
