ANNEX 2 - LICENSING OBJECTIVES
General Licensing Objectives
The premises is in a rural location with little residential property nearby. The opening hours are restricted and do not therefore extend further than early evening. The clientele have a mature age profile. Alcoholic consumption on the premises would be restricted to consumption with a plated meal. Sales for consumption off the premises are expected to be low volume.
Prevention of Crime and Disorder Objectives
Staff trained not to supply alcohol to anyone who appears under the influence of alcohol. The venue does not attract a young element as its customers. On premises consumption restricted to plated meals. There are approximately 40 staff on site at any time to deal with any issues arising.
Public Safety Objectives
There are fire extinguishers, fire exits and alarms to comply with safe evacuation of the premises. Consultants have reviewed fire extinguisher quantity and type. Alcoholic consumption is limited to only those dining at the restaurant on the premises.
Prevention of Public Nuisance Objectives
There is little nearby residential property. The site closes early usually at 5.30pm. Consumption of alcohol on the patio area is not overlooked by nearby properties. Drinking alcohol would be restricted to consumption with a plated meal.
Protection of Children from Harm Objectives
Staff are trained to "think 21" when selling alcohol, signage to be put up to deter underage sales. Training for staff given on age ID cards. Till staff have access to managers in case of any disputes. Alcohol products for consumption off the premises to be "tagged" to avoid theft by minors.
