• ANNEX 1 - MANDATORY CONDITIONS

   

  1. No supply of alcohol may be made under the premises licence:

   

  at a time when there is no designated premises supervisor in respect of the premises licence, or

  at a time when the designated premises supervisor does not hold a personal licence or his personal licence is suspended.

   

  2. Every supply of alcohol under the premises licence must be made or authorised by a person who holds a personal licence. (Section 19, Licensing Act 2003)

   

  3. Where this licence authorises the exhibition of films the admission of children must be restricted in accordance with the British Board of Film Classification.

   

  4.  Where this licence includes a condition that at specified times one or more individuals must be at the premises to carry out a security activity, these individuals must be licensed by the Security Authority (Section 21, Licensing Act 2003).

• ANNEX 2 - LICENSING OBJECTIVES

   

  General Licensing Objectives

  As sub-postmaster and licencee I believe the licensing law is very clear in its objectives. We already have precise and clear procedures in place to meet security objectives laid down by Post Office Limited and to comply with current law.

   

  Prevention of Crime and Disorder Objectives

  The prevention of crime and disorder are of course high on our agenda. No alcohol is on display other than behind the sales counter. We also have CCTV to deture theft.

   

  Public Safety Objectives

  Public safety is always paramount. Post Office Limited has very strict policies and guidelines to ensure safety at all times.

   

  Prevention of Public Nuisance Objectives

  We have never had an instance of public nuisance. Following the relevant law ensures we do not sell alcohol to anyone who appears to be drunk, underage, intend to buy alcohol for anyone who is either underage or drunk or for consumption on or near the premises.

   

  Protection of Children from Harm Objectives

  The protection of children on our premises is our duty. We do not sell, keep, or display items that may cause harm, or have any adverse influence on children.
