• ANNEX 1 - MANDATORY CONDITIONS

   

  1. No supply of alcohol may be made under the premises licence:

   

  at a time when there is no designated premises supervisor in respect of the premises licence, or

  at a time when the designated premises supervisor does not hold a personal licence or his personal licence is suspended.

   

  2. Every supply of alcohol under the premises licence must be made or authorised by a person who holds a personal licence. (Section 19, Licensing Act 2003)

   

  3. Where this licence authorises the exhibition of films the admission of children must be restricted in accordance with the British Board of Film Classification.

   

  4.  Where this licence includes a condition that at specified times one or more individuals must be at the premises to carry out a security activity, these individuals must be licensed by the Security Authority (Section 21, Licensing Act 2003).

  ANNEX 2 - LICENSING OBJECTIVES

   

  GENERAL LICENSING OBJECTIVES

   

  The barn is situated in private grounds in a secluded area with a gated driveway. It is available for weddings, private functions and charity events. All promotion and booking is done through our agent 'Country House Wedding Venues Ltd' or directly through us.

   

  THE PREVENTION OF CRIME AND DISORDER OBJECTIVES

   

  All guests are by invitation only and are known to the event organisers responsible for hiring the barn. External areas surrounding the barn are well lit and lighting is to be provided in the parking area as well. The sale and serving of alcohol is supervised and there is a floor manager present throughout the event.

   

  PUBLIC SAFETY OBJECTIVES

   

  All stairs and steps have safety lighting.

  A duty manager makes regular checks of all outside areas during a function. The barn has fire safety equipment. The company 'Safety Revolution' have carried out a health and safety audit on the barn and its surrounding grounds in 2004 and will carry out an annual inspection.

   

  THE PREVENTION OF PUBLIC NUISANCE OBJECTIVES

   

  The barn is in a secluded area with only our own residence as an immediate neighbour. There is a substantial tree screen between the barn and other properties on the estate.

  Precautions have been taken to limit the sound levels of any music played and the barn is fitted with a sound limiter set at 92 decibels. There is secondary glazing throughout and the roof has been sound proofed.

   

  THE PROTECTION OF CHILDREN FROM HARM OBJECTIVES

   

  When there are children under the age of 12 at a function we insist on there being a child minder present.

  There is also a designated area for children’s entertainment.
