ANNEX 2 - LICENSING OBJECTIVES
General Licensing Objectives
The Bentley Community Association is aware that it must promote the four licensing objectives in order to run a successful hall.
Prevention of Crime and Disorder Objectives
The hall is kept locked when not in use. Bookings for teenage discos/parties are not accepted except where the parents of the organisers are known to the committee and against a substantial deposit for damage/breakages. Any crime/vandalism is followed up and the police notified where appropriate.
Public Safety Objectives
The hall has been inspected by the fire officer and all recommendations implemented. Fire extinguishers are regularly checked by the providers. A battery operated emergency lighting system is in place and checked regularly. A village hall public liability insurance policy is in place.
Public Nuisance Objectives
All music/sound amplification must end by 23.45 hours and all tidying up be completed quietly. Events extending beyond 23.45 hours e.g New Years Eve, are limited and all neighbours are advised. No teenage discos/parties are allowed except as stated above. All events are held indoors.
Protection of Children from Harm Objectives
No children are allowed in the hall except when accompanied by adults and taking part in a pre arranged activity. The hall is locked when not in use. Heating appliances are shielded or at ceiling level. No adult type events take place in the hall.
