General Licensing objectives
45 minute "drinking up time" will allow appropriate dispersal, use of lavatories etc
In order to further the licensing objectives the licensee reserves the right to move the fire appliances, AWPmachines, cigarette machines and or any other similar objects temporarily in a fixed location which may impact on the ability of individuals on the premises to use exits or escape routes. without impediment.
Prevention of crime and disorder objectives
Illumination is provided to the exterior areas of the pub
All interior trading areas are visable to staff from behind the bar serveries
A rota system is in place for regularly checking the toilets
The licensees/staff monitor customer behaviour especially during busy periods
There is always a minimum of two staff on duty at any one time
Drug prevention measures are employed
Drivers "shelf" with selection of soft drinks available
Public safety objectives
Health & safety policy in place and adhered to
A quarterly risk assessment carried out
The hotel is equipped with emergency lighting and illuminated exit signs
All fire fighting equipment is serviced annually
All portable electrical appliances are tested annually
There are current electric and gas certificates in place
Mechanical extraction is provided. A pest control contract is in place
The hotel has first aid facilities
Accident /incident book on site for staff and public
Staff are trained in our disability policy and assistance is always available
Prevention of public nuisance objectives
A noise survey is carried out regularly especially when entertainment is being provided
The hotel has a lobbied entrance which reduces noise emission
Cellar cooling condenser is positioned in an area so as not to cause nuisance to neighbours and is sound proofed
"Please respect our neighbours and leave quietly" sign in place
Protection of children from harm objectives
Unaccompanied children are not permitted on the premises
AWP is positioned in sight of the bar counter
The AWP and cigarette machine are easily observed
Children`s menu available and suitable soft drinks to promote family atmosphere
Conditions attached from minor variaition
1. The licence holder must notify the Police, Environmental Protection and Licensing, at least 14 days prior to any outside event. The notice is to be in writing and include the following information:
dates and times of the event
nature of event
numbers of people attending
proposed number of security personnel
control of external noise source
2. At all outside events there must be a sufficient number of security personnel. A written plan must state where and at what time they will be in operation. All security personnel must display SIA name badges and carry proof of registration with SIA.
3. No glassware is permitted at any outside event.
4. At least 14 days prior to an outside event, written notifiation is to be given to all occupiers of residential or business premises likely to be affected by the event. The notification is to be addressed to the 'occupier'.
5. At least 14 days prior to an event the licence holder is to provide an event safety management plan for all outside events to the satisfaction of the Licensing Authority.
6. At least 14 days prior to an event the licence holder is to send a written list to the Licensing Authority of the names and addresses of any persons providing a food service.
7. The designated premises supervisor is to obtain the National Diploma for Designated Premises Supervisors within one year of appointment.
8. The designated premises supervisor is to be in attendance at all outside events.
9. A written log must be kept, recording the time, date and nature of incidents and a note of any action taken by staff. The log to be made available for inspection by the Police and Licensing Officers on request.
