ANNEX 2 - Licensing Objectives
General Objectives
Most of the events will be attended by parents and siblings coming to watch family members perform and pupils supporting their peers.
Tickets will be issued for events and numbers will be limited accordingly.
Prevention of Crime and Disorder Objectives
Ensure, as far as possible, that any items of value are not unattended and are stored securely away from members of the public.
During events, a member of senior management will be on site and usual school rules, regulations and acceptable standards will be expected from the children.
Local Police informed of events, as appropriate.
Public Safety Objectives
At the start of each event, visitors will be instructed as to the location of toilets, fire exits and the procedure to follow in the event of an emergency.
Health & Safety policies are in place, reviewed regularly and shared with all users.
All fire exits will be clearly marked and kept unlocked and their routes free from obstruction.
The school is a non smoking site.
A first aider will be available during most school events.
Our main car park and side access has outside lighting.
Prevention of Public Nuisance Objectives
We are aware of our public image and endeavour to promote good relations within the local community at all times.
The location of the main entertainment venue, the School Hall, means noise transmitted to local houses is very limited.
Whenever possible, the main playground will be used for additional parking, to minimise street parking in the vicinity.
Protection of Children from Harm Objectives
As a school, the day to day priority is to protect children from harm and there is a Child Protection Policy in place, which is shared with all users.
CRB checks are carried out on all staff.
When films are being shown, only children of an appropriate age for the British Board of Film Classification rules will be allowed entry.
