• ANNEX 1 - MANDATORY CONDITIONS

   

  1. No supply of alcohol may be made under the premises licence:

   

  at a time when there is no designated premises supervisor in respect of the premises licence, or

  at a time when the designated premises supervisor does not hold a personal licence or his personal licence is suspended.

   

  2. Every supply of alcohol under the premises licence must be made or authorised by a person who holds a personal licence. (Section 19, Licensing Act 2003)

   

  3. Where this licence authorises the exhibition of films the admission of children must be restricted in accordance with the British Board of Film Classification.

   

  4.  Where this licence includes a condition that at specified times one or more individuals must be at the premises to carry out a security activity, these individuals must be licensed by the Security Authority (Section 21, Licensing Act 2003).

  EMBEDDED PROVISIONS

   

  It is a condition of your licence that you comply with the existing provisions of the following enactments:

   

  Sporting Events (Control of Alcohol etc) Act 1985

   

  Enclosed separately are conditions relating to the Standard Conditions that were attached to one or more of the following licences held under the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982, Cinemas Act 1985, Theatres Act 1968;

  The premises opening hours detailed in this licence are at the discretion of the licence holder.

  ANNEX 3 - LICENSING OBJECTIVES

   

  GENERAL LICENSING OBJECTIVES

   

  The types of regulated entertainments proposed re-instate and then enhance the normal pub entertainments that were previously unregulated, with the benefit to enhance the normal pub entertainment and reduce the focus on alcohol.

  Staff will be trained on the requirements of the Licensing Act 2003 when they are

  Recruited and given training in "drugs awareness" as part of their induction.

  That there is a policy of no entry or re-entry after midnight to prevent persons from nearby establishments trying to continue drinking in this premises.

   

  THE PREVENTION OF CRIME AND DISORDER OBJECTIVES

   

  Providing a 30 minute extension of opening hours after the end of the sale of alcohol will promote these objectives the last drink will be consumed less quickly, with access to the pubs toilet facilities and the provision of non-alcoholic refreshment during this period.

  The DPS will be a member of the local Pub watch so long as it exists.

   

  PUBLIC SAFETY OBJECTIVES

   

  Function bookings will be limited to 250 persons.

  On certain occasions my risk assessment indicates a risk of crowding and, on those occasions, the capacity of the whole premises (including staff and performers) is not to exceed 250.

  My risk assessment identifies no other risk of crowding.

   

  THE PREVENTION OF PUBLIC NUISANCE OBJECTIVES

   

  Live music will end at 00.00 except on New Years Eve and New Years Day

  Live or recorded music in the garden will end at or before 23.00

  Recorded music indoors will end at 01.30 except on New Years Eve and New years Day

  Recorded music volume will be reduced to background level during the wind down period to create a mood change

  A notice will be placed prominently at the exits asking customers to leave quietly. 

  Either a payphone or a facility is made available for customers to call taxi/private hire vehicle, and to display local company numbers. That doors and windows are to be kept closed after 22.00 when live and compared music is playing and that noise will not be audible within the nearest residence.

   

  THE PROTECTION OF CHILDREN FROM HARM OBJECTIVES

   

  The restrictions set out in the Licensing Act 2003 will apply

  Photographic proof of age will be required to be shown by anyone seeking to purchase alcohol who appears to be under 21 years of age.

  AWP machines and cigarette machines will be sited in areas that are visible to staff, to ensure that children do not have access to them.

  No unusual risks of harm to children have been identified.
