ANNEX 3 - Licensing Objectives
General objectives
Ensure staff are made aware and receive appropriate training relating to the licensing objectives.
Ensure a member of management is on duty during permitted hours to enforce the licensing objectives.
Prevention of crime and disorder objectives
Only operate events where guests partake of a substantial meal. No promotion of binge drinking. Ensure sufficient seating for all guests.
To participate in any appropriate police schemes to reduce crime and disorder.
Public safety objectives
Capacities to be as per existing fire certificate.
Regular inspections of emergency equipment.
Regular practice evacuations.
Regularly updated risk assessments.
Prevention of public nuisance objectives
Reduce the volume and tempo of music towards end of evening. Noise limiter fitted. Close windows, doors and curtains in main function area after 10pm.
Announcement at end of evening to vacate quietly. Adequate supervision for departing guests.
Bar to close 15 minutes prior to end of permitted hours.
No removal of waste (including glass bottles) to outdoor areas after 22.00.
All contractors/entertainers arriving/departing in the early morning or late at night to be advised to do so quietly as possible.
No early morning deliveries or removal of waste are to take place prior to 08.00.
Protection of children from harm objectives
Staff to receive regular and adequate training on the law and practice relating to age restricted sales.
Children not allowed in corporate events when adult entertainment may be taking place.
