ANNEX 2 - LICENSING OBJECTIVES
General licensing objectives
The club committee meets regularly at which time the manageress is required to report on activities and review adherence to the four licensing objectives. The club president, vice president, treasurer, secretary or other committee members also meet with the manageress informally between regular committee meetings to discuss and resolve any issues raised at the earliest opportunity.
Prevention of crime and disorder objectives
All staff are trained to ensure that the premises operated within agreed Licensing, internal bye laws and hiring conditions.
The manageress or her delegate has the authority to suspend or terminate any function that is not complying with the above or where it is judged that crime and disorder may occur.
Public safety objectives
The premises comply with all statutory regulations relating to fire safety and health and safety. Appropriate signage, fire extinguishers and emergency lighting is provided along with evacuation instructions.
Prevention of public nuisance objectives
Users attention is drawn to the requirement that public nuisance is unacceptable and would lead to cessation of use in the opinion of the manageress or delegate public nuisance were likely to occur. Notices are displayed asking all those leaving the premises to do so quietly and considerately.
A notice is to be placed on the external kitchen door requesting the door to be kept closed except for access and egress.
Staff will be instructed to respond to complaints by recording them in the incident in the incident book. In the event of a complaint of noise from music, a member of staff will instruct the hirer to lower the volume.
The telephone number of the premises will be provided on an external wall and in such a position that it can be easily read.
Protection of children from harm objectives
The premises are a family friendly environment where children would be present as part of a family’s attendance or the occasional children’s party arranged and supervised by adults.
