ANNEX 2 - LICENSING OBJECTIVES
General Licensing objectives
Entry to the club by Coded Key System. Car park and main entrance have exterior lighting monitors. Club management steward and bar staff are informed of the Licensing Act 2003 objectives and statutory requirement to comply with all relevant provisions of the act.
Prevention of crime and disorder objectives
The club constitution includes club rules governing the conduct of members and their guests within and adjacent to club premises. Admission to the club by way of coded key system. Entry confined to members and bonafide guests. Host members must sign in guests in entry book at the club foyer. Club employees are instructed not to admit or serve members or guests who behave in a drunk or disorderly fashion. Misconduct is reported to the Committee to consider action under club disciplinary code.
Public safety objectives
The Club complies with Health and Safety and Fire Protection regulations. Following risk assessment and preventative control measures are in place to ensure safety of members, guests, employees and entertainers while in club premises. The club complies with advised capacity limits. Fire action notices are posted, emergency escapes routes are signposted.
Public nuisance objectives
Signage is displayed near exit signs requesting members and guests to respect the needs of local residents by quietly vacating the premises and car park. When live and recorded music is played all reasonable steps are taken to avoid disturbance to neighbouring properties.
Protection of children from harm objectives
Persons under age of 18 are only allowed in the club if accompanied eg. children and grandchildren attending a club Junior Disco in the function room. The function room bar will close for Junior Discos. Young adults applying for membership must prove to the committee that they are 18 years old. Children and grandchildren may be admitted to the function room if accompanied by an adult. Club steward and staff are instructed in the offence provisions of Licensing Act 2003 relating to alcohol and protection of children. Signs are posted at all bars prohibiting indirect or direct supply of alcohol to children.
