ANNEX 3 - LICENSING OBJECTIVES
GENERAL LICENSING OBJECTIVES
I have considered your statement of Licensing Policy in preparing this application.
All staff will be trained on the requirements of the Licensing Act 2003.
The regulated entertainments proposed either reinstate normal pub entertainments which were previously unregulated, or provide entertainments which could previously have been covered by an Entertainments Licence.
Risk assessment in relation to the four licensing objectives has identified the steps detailed below as appropriate action.
THE PREVENTION OF CRIME AND DISORDER OBJECTIVES
30 minute extension of opening hours after the end of the sale of alcohol will allow unhurried consumption of final drink, use of pub toilet facilities, and dispersal of customers in an orderly manner.
A review of customer base and trading history suggests no requirement for door staff or CCTV.
PUBLIC SAFETY OBJECTIVES
No new risks have been identified.
Staff training in health and safety will continue to be provided, as will guidance on the Licensing objectives.
THE PREVENTION OF PUBLIC NUISANCE OBJECTIVES
All recorded music will end by 0100 with reduced volume after 2300.
All windows will be kept closed after 2300 and checked regularly.
All exits will have large, clear notices requesting customers to leave quietly and respect neighbouring properties. Notices will also refer to the availability of a payphone and taxi numbers at the bar.
THE PROTECTION OF CHILDREN FROM HARM OBJECTIVES
No unusual risk of harm to children have been identified.
The restrictions set out in the Licensing Act 2003 will apply.
Photographic proof of age will be required from anyone seeking to but alcohol who appears to be under 21 years of age.
