ANNEX 3 - Licensing Objectives
General licensing objectives
Following an assessment of the premises and its surrounding area the following is proposed:
30 minute "drinking up" time will allow appropriate dispersal, use of lavatories etc
In order to further the licensing objectives the licensee reserves the right to move the fire appliances, AWP machines, cigarette machines and or any similar objects temporarily in a fixed location which may impact on the ability of individuals on the premises to use exits or escape routes without impediment.
The pub will maintain its current level on Friday and Saturday nights of 100 people
The pub has clear signage with reference to ID card requests, and respect for local residents on departure.
Prevention of crime and disorder objectives
1 AWP machine, situated in easy view of the bar for effective policing by staff.
1 Cigarette machine, no under 16s are allowed in the pub. The pub will keep its current policy of closing the doors at 23.00 hrs for no further admission. This is clearly signed in the pub.
In the evenings the pub employs a policy of staffing both the bar and the floor with extra staff to keep order, check ID`s etc.
The licensee is a member of "Pub Watch"
After 19.00 over 18s only are permitted entry to the pub.
Public safety objectives
The pub has illuminated exit signage, and emergency lighting throughout .
Bar manger has attended cellar management course including health and hygiene.
The licensee has signed a letter of intent to reduce smoking in the pub by 80% by 2009 and to stop smoking at the bar with immediate effect.
Prevention of public nuisance
The pub does not adjoin any residential property
The pub has clear signage requesting that customers respect local residents on departure.
All windows and doors are to remain closed except for access and egress from 23.00 hours every night.
Protection of children from harm objectives
No under 16s are allowed unaccompanied in the pub.
No under 14s are allowed in the pub at any time.
From 19.00hrs the pub employs an 18 and over policy.
AWP machine and cigarette machine are in easy view of the bar for effecting policing.
The pub has a policy of no nudity, striptease or restricted film viewing.
