ANNEX 3 - LICENSING CONDITIONS
GENERAL LICENSING OBJECTIVES
Following an assessment of the premises and its surrounding area the following is proposed:
30 minute "drinking up" time will allow appropriate dispersal, use of lavatories etc.
In order to further the licensing objectives the licensee reserves the right to move the fire appliances, AWP machines, cigarette machines and or any other similar objects temporarily in a fixed location which may impact on the ability of individuals on the premises to use the exits or escape routes without impediment.
THE PREVENTION OF CRIME AND DISORDER OBJECTIVES
The licensees are members of Pub Watch and regularly attend meetings (the licensee/designated premises supervisor is the co-ordinator). The majority of customers are local residents and are known to the licensees. Toilets are checked regularly. The licensees/staff monitor customer behaviour especially during busy periods. All doors and windows are secure. There are usually a minimum of two staff on duty at any one time. Drug prevention measures are employed. A large selection of non-alcoholic drinks are available for drivers.
PUBLIC SAFETY OBJECTIVES
A Health and Safety policy is in place and is adhered to. Mechanical extraction is provided in one side of the bar. The pub has first aid facilities. An accident book is on site for all staff and public. One licensee holds a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate. There are several smoke detectors on the premises.
THE PREVENTION OF PUBLIC NUISANCE OBJECTIVES
When required, staff organise taxis to transport customers home and customers are seen off the premises and encouraged to disperse quietly at closing. Being a detached property there are no adjoining neighbours. The absence of Sky television eliminates the potential for noise and boisterous behaviour often created by televised sporting events. The pub does not have any aggressive drinks promotions, e.g. 2-4-1s. The pub traditional in nature and most of the customers are local residents, known to the licensees.
THE PROTECTION OF CHILDREN FROIM HARM OBJECTIVES
Unaccompanied children are not allowed in the bar under any circumstances. The pub is very small with the servery close to the entrance; consequently entry to the pub is strictly monitored.
