ANNEX 2 - LICENSING OBJECTIVES
GENERAL LICENSING OBJECTIVES
The variation applied for is only to allow the club to continue as before. The club will continue to be run by an elected committee on behalf of the members under the terms of the club's constitution and rules. Compliance by members is assured by the fact that it is a private members club who are subject to the rules of the club lodged with the application to convert.
THE PREVENTION OF CRIME AND DISORDER OBJECTIVES
We have security lights around the building, however as we are well off the beaten track and fairly isolated with mostly members and guests attending the premises we are able to exercise control over all our functions.
PUBLIC SAFETY OBJECTIVES
Members of the public are not admitted other than as guests and are therefore under the wing of members. Health and safety and fire risk assessments are carried out and staff are trained in both areas.
THE PREVENTION OF PUBLIC NUISANCE OBJECTIVES
The premises are relatively isolated apart from a pair of cottages belonging to the club. We do not allow members' 18th or 21st birthday parties at the premises and functions are either attended by members and guests or are golf related. The volume of live or recorded music is always controlled, usually at the request of members present. An efficient extractor system with high level fans assures good air quality and temperature without having to open windows.
THE PROTECTION OF CHILDREN FROM HARM OBJECTIVES
See general objectives and public safety objectives above.
In addition the club prevents the sale or supply of alcohol to persons under the age of 18 years. In cases of doubt, the membership database can be accessed to verify age and in the case of further doubt and in any other case proof of identity and age will be sought.
