ANNEX 3 - LICENSING OBJECTIVES
GENERAL LICENSING OBJECTIVES
Following an assessment of the premises and its surrounding area the following is proposed:
30 minute "drinking up" time will allow appropriate dispersal, use of lavatories etc.
In order to further the licensing objectives the licensee reserves the right to move the fire appliances, AWP machines, cigarette machines and or any other similar objects temporarily in a fixed location which may impact on the ability of individuals on the premises to use exits or escape routes without impediment.
THE PREVENTION OF CRIME AND DISORDER OBJECTIVES
The prevention of crime and disorder is limited at the White Hart by the following:
External lighting in the car parks - There is also adequate street lighting surrounding the pub boundary. Both retailers are registered with pub watch and the call around service. Majority of customers are also local residents and workers and appreciate the local residents when leaving this site.
PUBLIC SAFETY OBJECTIVES
Public Safety is enforced at the White Hart and supported by the following:
Fire, electrical and gas certificates and all fire equipment is checked on an annual basis. There is emergency lighting, exits and illuminated signs. There are internal hygiene inspections carried out on a regular basis to ensure quality and safety. The pub has also signed the Punch Statement of Intent agreeing to no smoking at the bar and a reduction in the trading space for smokers. There are also two air filtration systems in the house.
THE PREVENTION OF PUBLIC NUISANCE OBJECTIVES
In order to prevent public nuisance the pub enforces the following:
Lockable doors and windows - Double glazing to the rear (restrictions due to site being in conservation area). Kitchen extraction unit in place. No adjoining residents. Licensees monitor sound of entertainment to ensure that it does not affect the customers or local residents. No windows are opened during music or entertainment.
Patrons using the beer garden after 2300 hours will not cause disturbance to properties in the vicinity.
THE PROTECTION OF CHILDREN FROIM HARM OBJECTIVES
The pub enforces the following policies to protect children from harm:
Smoke-free area is available for families that are dining. Children need to be accompanied by a responsible adult. There is an enclosed garden area for children in the summer. Gaming machines are positioned so that they are in view from the servery which allows staff to monitor children near the machines. There are signs in the garden detailing rules for children (asking parents to supervise children at all times).
