ANNEX 1 - LICENSING OBJECTIVES
GENERAL LICENSING OBJECTIVES
Treloar's is a responsible charity and enjoys the support of the local community. It enshrines policies that govern health and safety including fire and fire evacuation procedures. The campus generally is covered by risk assessment and specific assessments will be carried out for all events. A fully equipped term-time medical centre is available. Full welfare facilities are provided and all WC's are accessible. Porterage or other staff supervise/control events. First-aid centre. Fire extinguishers. supervision.
THE PREVENTION OF CRIME AND DISORDER OBJECTIVES
Facilities used only by responsible undertakings. Staff available on-site to monitor/supervise as necessary. Good liaison with village constable. Very few local neighbours as mostly surrounded by our fields and staff-occupied dwellings. Very careful to maintain reputation in local community and management of events particularly keen.
PUBLIC SAFETY OBJECTIVES
Current fire risk assessment in place. Building highly equipped with emergency exits to fresh air - designed with disabled students in mind. Break-glass alarms. All staff trained and competent to commence fire procedures. Regular testing of alarm/detectors and maintenance schedule in place. Specific event risk assessment and staff supervisors on site. First aid available. Good welfare facilities - all accessible on ground floor. Briefings on safety prior to commencement of events.
THE PREVENTION OF PUBLIC NUISANCE OBJECTIVES
Location extremely remote with only one neighbour within 250 metres of Newton-Davis Hall. Good WC facilities and ample waste containers. Supervision provided.
THE PROTECTION OF CHILDREN FROM HARM OBJECTIVES
Responsible management and letting control. All staff at school/trust are CRB checked (enhanced) and fully aware of child protection issues. Event supervision and local control.
