ANNEX 2 - LICENSING OBJECTIVES
GENERAL LICENSING OBJECTIVES
Petersfield RFC was formed in 1927 and has little experience of crime and disorder in its 78 year history. We are proud of our status as a community club and we take our responsibilities very seriously. We operate within health and safety guidelines and therefore minimise public safety risks on our premises. In view of our bar management controls and our location away from residential housing, it is unlikely that we could become a public nuisance.
THE PREVENTION OF CRIME AND DISORDER OBJECTIVES
A policy not to serve alcohol to anyone who is inebriated.
Door supervisors employed when appropriate.
Zero tolerance policy in relation to violence on the premises.
Anyone involved in alcohol related violence would be banned from the premises.
PUBLIC SAFETY OBJECTIVES
Up to date fire certificate.
Health and safety policy/risk assessments.
Safety exits (illuminated)
Fire fighting equipment.
THE PREVENTION OF PUBLIC NUISANCE OBJECTIVES
Premises are a considerable distance from any residential properties.
Good car parking provisions.
Policy not to serve alcohol to anyone who is inebriated.
THE PROTECTION OF CHILDREN FROM HARM OBJECTIVES
The club has a formally appointed child protection officer who operates within strict guidelines issued by the rugby football union.
Children in the bar area are supervised by adult club members.
Soft drinks available at the bar.
Bar staff trained in the law related to the serving of alcohol to under 18's.
