• ANNEX 1 - MANDATORY CONDITIONS

   

  1. No supply of alcohol may be made under the premises licence:

   

  at a time when there is no designated premises supervisor in respect of the premises licence, or

  at a time when the designated premises supervisor does not hold a personal licence or his personal licence is suspended.

   

  2. Every supply of alcohol under the premises licence must be made or authorised by a person who holds a personal licence. (Section 19, Licensing Act 2003)

   

  3. Where this licence authorises the exhibition of films the admission of children must be restricted in accordance with the British Board of Film Classification.

   

  4.  Where this licence includes a condition that at specified times one or more individuals must be at the premises to carry out a security activity, these individuals must be licensed by the Security Authority (Section 21, Licensing Act 2003).

  ANNEX 2 - LICENSING OBJECTIVES

   

  General Licensing Objectives

  Liaise with the Police.

  Have emergency procedures in place.

  Train and brief all staff and volunteers (helpers).

  Prepare site with fire prevention measures.

  Have sufficient ratio of staff to audience numbers.

  Supply clearly marked first aid and lost child areas.

  Have ticket sales policy regarding unaccompanied children, ball games, frisbees and barbeques.

   

  Prevention of Crime and Disorder Objectives

  Liaise with and take advice from Police before and during event.

  Have stewards posted around whole site.

  Short-wave radio contact between staff.

   

  Public Safety Objectives

  Written safety policy and emergency procedures in place and briefed to all staff and volunteer helpers.

  First aid area with trained staff.

  Electrics professionally installed.

  Lighting, fire extinguishers, sand buckets and emergency lighting available and in place.

  Short -wave radio contact between staff.

  PA system available for public announcements.

   

  Prevention of Public Nuisance Objectives

  Monitor sound levels at all times.

  Police 'No Parking' cones in Gracious Street.

  All local residents are informed in writing of the event and its implications for residents.

  Event contained fully within museum grounds.

  Car park layout and entry and exit routes clearly marked.

  Adequate toilet provision for size of audience.

  Litter prevention by staff at exits.

   

  Protection of Children from Harm Objectives

  Policy - tickets for children only available if accompanied by adults.

  Written policy on ticket stipulates no ball games, frisbees or barbeques.

  Safe area denoted for lost children.
