ANNEX 3 - Licensing Objectives
General Licensing objectives
The types of regulated entertainments proposed firstly re-instate normal pub and family facilities and entertainments that were previously unregulated. The facilities for live and recorded music, dancing and voice are proposed in support of bookings, events in the function room and the bars.
No new steps have been identified by risk assessment in relation to the four licensing objectives, except as below.
I have considered the terms of your local licensing in preparing this application.
Prevention of Crime and Disorder objectives
Providing a 30 minute extension of opening hours after the end of the sale of alcohol will promote this objective as the last drink will be consumed less quickly, with access to the pubs toilet facilities
Not less than ten working days written notice will be provided to Police, if they require it, when" Events Days" are planned.
Public Safety objectives
Function bookings will be limited to 100 persons. The existing capacity of 150 persons is retained but will apply to the main building of the pub only.
My risk assessment identifies no other risk of crowding whether or not entertainments are provided.
Prevention of Public Nuisance objectives
The patios will be closed to customers at 23.00 hours every day
No live music entertainments will be provided in the outside patio areas
When live music is provided windows/doors will be kept closed from that time (except as required for the entry and exit)
The volume of recorded music will be reduced to background level after 00.00
Protection of children from harm objectives
Children will be permitted on the premises between 00.00 and 07.00 as bone fide residents in the letting rooms
Photographic proof of age will be required of anyone seeking to buy alcohol who appears to be under 21 years old
No other risks of harm to children that are not already covered by other legislation, have been identified
